Lupin coffee – hand-roasted specialty with a full-bodied aroma

Our lupin coffee is carefully roasted by hand and impresses with a medium to strong roast that develops a multi-faceted aroma profile. The velvety taste reveals chocolaty notes with a pronounced nutty-nougat nuance and a round, harmonious body.

The lupin seeds develop their full potential thanks to a precise roasting profile in the drum roasting process: a balanced interplay of roasted aromas, fine sweetness and a pleasant depth that is reminiscent of high-quality cocoa beans. The finish is soft, with a subtle caramel note that lingers for a long time.

Caffeine-free and easy on the stomach, our lupin coffee is the perfect alternative for anyone who appreciates the taste of a full-bodied coffee but wants to avoid conventional caffeine.

Preparation

Optimal preparation:

  • French Press

Use 1 tablespoon per cup

  • Mocha pot

Fill the sieve loosely with lupin coffee

  • Filter coffee machine

Add 100 g per liter of water to the filter and pour boiling water over it

Flavor

Lupin coffee has a unique flavor that is often described as mildly nutty and slightly malty. Many of our customers find that it tastes a bit like dark chocolate and although it contains no caffeine, we have a similar sensory taste experience on the tongue as with bean-to-bar coffee.
