Artemisia annua plant extract

Artemisia annua plant extract is made from the fresh leaves of annual mugwort.

This plant, which is native to the temperate zones of Asia, has been used in traditional Chinese medicine for over 2000 years. It is used to relieve fever, fight infections and in particular to prevent and treat malaria.

Artemisia is valued for its strong blood-purifying properties and is considered to be extremely effective against parasites and otherinfectious agents. The antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effect of this plant is mainly due to the ingredients artemisinin and arteannuin.

Various studies have also shown that annual mugwort has antimicrobial, anticancer, antioxidant and antiviral properties.

Manufacture

To produce our plant extract, we soak the freshly harvested herb of Artemisia annua in organic alcohol 38%. The active ingredient artemisinin dissolves very well in alcohol. The extract is shaken at regular intervals. We work 100% organically and naturally.

Artemisia annua (annual mugwort) is not permitted as a foodstuff in the European Union.
