When herbs give off their scent and sweat pours down<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n

Summer on an organic farm evokes a sense of lightheartedness: warm sunshine, fields in bloom, and long evenings outdoors. And that\u2019s exactly what it is\u2014at least in part. Nature is now on full display, everything is growing at once, and every day brings new developments. <\/p>\n\n

But behind all this abundance lies an intense period that demands everything from us\u2014physically, logistically, and sometimes emotionally as well.<\/p>\n\n

\"A<\/figure>\n\n

Herb Harvesting: Fragrance, Precision, and the Right Moment<\/h2>\n\n

Right now, a lot of our focus is on the herb harvest. Even in the early morning hours, the scent of mint, lemon balm, and many other herbs wafts over the fields. Anyone who has ever stood among the rows immediately understands why this work is so special, despite all the effort it takes. <\/p>\n\n

At the same time, it demands your full attention: The right time to harvest determines the quality, flavor, and effects. And sometimes it also means reacting quickly when the weather suddenly changes and a planned workday turns into a race against time. <\/p>\n\n

The most important planning factor: the weather<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n

As much as we rely on calendars, in farming, the weather has the final say.<\/p>\n\n

While others are enjoying the summer, we regularly take a critical look at weather apps and the sky:<\/p>\n\n

    \n
  • Is the rain they’ve forecast really coming?<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Will it get too hot for delicate young plants?<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Do we absolutely have to harvest the herbs today?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n

    Flexibility isn’t an option here\u2014it’s a prerequisite. Every day brings new decisions and, sometimes, complete last-minute changes to plans. <\/p>\n\n

    Working the soil in a pumpkin field: honest, backbreaking, necessary<\/h2>\n\n

    In addition to tending to the aromatic herbs, the work also includes more down-to-earth tasks, such as weeding the pumpkin field. There, the workers are currently working intensively by hand to ensure that the plants have enough space, air, and energy to grow. <\/p>\n\n

    After a few hours in the sun, you really start to feel the effects of what you’ve done. And by then, at the latest, the famous farm question arises: How can a row of pumpkins actually be so long?<\/em> <\/p>\n\n

    It’s hard work\u2014but it’s worth it.<\/p>\n\n

    It’s easier when we work together<\/h3>\n\n

    One of the most wonderful aspects of life on our farm is working together. When many hands come together to help, the atmosphere changes instantly: hard work turns into camaraderie, and labor gives way to conversation, laughter, and often unexpected stories. <\/p>\n\n

    It is moments like these that define the farm and make even long workdays feel easier.<\/p>\n\n

    Summer, which demands everything and gives so much in return<\/h3>\n\n

    Summer on an organic farm is intense. It requires a lot of hard work, patience, and flexibility. At the same time, it offers us an incredible variety of experiences: the scent of fresh herbs, the buzzing of insects, growing crops, and the feeling of creating something meaningful together. <\/p>\n\n

    And when you enjoy fresh herbs later on or use pumpkin seed oil from our harvest, that\u2019s exactly what\u2019s in them: plenty of sunshine, good weather, hard work, and a whole lot of passion.<\/p>\n\n

    We wish you a wonderful summer, filled with many beautiful moments\u2014whether you’re out in nature or simply enjoying a good meal that brings a taste of farm life to your table. \ud83c\udf3f<\/p>\n\n
